MN CTF Purpose
The CTF was created in 1988 and is comprised of elected leaders from the nine congressionally-chartered veterans service organizations. Key functions of the CTF include:

Purpose 1
- Develop a unified MN Veterans Legislative Agenda document for State and Federal Legislators and represent / act as a single voice on the hill
- Ensure taskforce VSOs embrace and communicate the veterans legislative agenda representing MN VSO Commanders represented on the CTF.
- Actively promote and participate in legislative hearings
- Provide a single veteran / VSO voice to legislators where appropriate
- Leverage our combine membership numbers

Purpose 2
- To act as an advisory board to the MN Commissioner of Veterans Affairs
- State Veterans Issues
- CVSO Activities
- Legislation
- Veterans Programs (ie. input to V4V)
- Veterans Outreach
- Provide credibility to DVA actions and assist in communications to the Veterans Community
- Partner with Commissioner / DVC when called upon or when necessary

Purpose 3
- Work as a unified veterans leadership team when establishing veterans programs so as to achieve commonality / partnerships and extended population in rollout and execution when possible.
- Work to seek and form VSO partnerships in program development (ie. Veterans Day program)
